Privacy policy
Effective 8 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Clothing in Turkey (Union and Joy Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, “we”, “us”) collects through clothinginturkey.com, why, and what your rights are. We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and work on your project.
1. What we collect
- Tech pack builder: your name, e-mail, phone number, brand name, website or Instagram, country, your product details, and any images you upload (designs, logos, reference photos, fabric and trim photos).
- Tech pack files you upload (PDF or images), if you send us your own tech pack.
- AI assistant in the tech pack builder: the description and the photo you give it, and your e-mail address, which you confirm with a one-time code before using the assistant. We record when you confirmed it and how often you used the assistant.
- Your choice about news and offers: whether you ticked the box to receive them, and when.
- WhatsApp and e-mail: the messages and files you send us and our replies, your WhatsApp name and number, and, if you are in our WhatsApp contacts, the name we saved for you. Earlier chats with our WhatsApp number may be included.
- Technical data: your IP address, used briefly to prevent abuse (for example, limiting how many requests one visitor can make).
- Visit statistics: which page of our website was opened, the website you came from and your country. We count these per day without cookies and without storing your IP address or anything else that identifies you.
2. How we use it
- To review your tech pack, answer your questions, prepare quotes, and produce your order.
- To send you e-mails about your project, such as a confirmation that we received your tech pack.
- On WhatsApp, our AI assistant answers first: it introduces itself as an assistant, collects the details of your project and passes the conversation to our team for quotes and production details. It sorts conversations by type of enquiry so the right person replies.
- To prepare a Turkish version of the tech pack files you upload, so our whole team can work from them.
- To decide which enquiries to answer first, based on the details you give us (for example quantity, delivery date and whether you shared a phone number). This only sets the order in which we reply.
- Only if you agreed: to send you occasional news and offers by e-mail. You can withdraw this at any time by replying to one of our e-mails or writing to us, and we'll stop.
- To keep the website secure.
We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising. We send news and offers only to people who ticked the box to receive them. Your designs remain your property, and we use them only to produce your order.
3. Who processes your data for us
We use a small number of service providers to run the website:
- Netlify (website hosting)
- Supabase (database and file storage for submitted tech packs, uploaded files, WhatsApp conversations and e-mail addresses, in Frankfurt, Germany)
- Resend (sending e-mails)
- Anthropic (our AI assistant: your tech pack description and photo, uploaded tech pack files, and WhatsApp messages are sent to it to fill in forms, translate files and reply on WhatsApp; they are not used to train AI models)
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there; we use the WhatsApp Business Platform directly
4. Cookies and browser storage
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and our visit statistics need none. The tech pack builder saves your unfinished draft in your own browser so you don't lose your work; images are not saved there. If you confirm your e-mail for the AI assistant, a cookie remembers it for 30 days so you don't need a new code each time. Our team's admin area uses one login cookie.
5. How long we keep it
We keep tech packs and project correspondence while we work together and as long as needed for our legal and accounting obligations. If you agreed to news and offers, we keep your e-mail address for that until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and object to how we use it. E-mail us at info@clothinginturkey.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
